Train the Facilitators event held in Vrdnik, Serbia

The event brought together experts in chemistry, sustainable development, business, and innovation, offering a platform to introduce the program’s objectives and announce the upcoming launch of the Green Chemistry Accelerator, set for next year.

The Cleaner Production Center Serbia, in collaboration with Yale University (USA), organized the TRAIN-THE-FACILITATORS SERBIA 2024 training from September 18 to 20, 2024, in Vrdik, as part of the the Global Greenchem Innovation and Network Programme

The event brought together experts in chemistry, sustainable development, business, and innovation, offering a platform to introduce the program’s objectives and announce the upcoming launch of the Green Chemistry Accelerator, set for next year. This accelerator aims to foster innovative solutions in green chemistry, focusing on sustainability in production processes.

Led by Lars Retjen and Matthew Moroney from Yale University, the training gave participants the chance to explore the role of green and sustainable chemistry within the broader sustainability framework and examine successful business models incorporating green chemistry. Presentations were delivered, followed by productive discussions on potential collaborations in future green chemistry innovations. The event was deemed a success, with attendees expressing their satisfaction in networking and sharing experiences.
