IMPLEMENTATION OF CLEANER PRODUCTION IN IPPC PRODUCTION FACILITIES WITHIN THE ELECTRIC POWER INDUSTRY OF SERBIA

Project task:

Estimates in the factory; analysis of existing practice and comparison with relevant BAT; defining CP options and preparing relevant action plans; training for company representatives on cleaner production, control, benchmarking, analysis of material and energy flow, water efficiency and environmental legislation.

Project description:

Implementation of cleaner production in 10 IPPC production facilities within the Electric Power Industry of Serbia – 6 thermal power plants, 3 thermal power plants and one heating plant. Identification of possible changes in flows (raw materials, water, energy, waste) and production processes and all other factors that can contribute to reducing environmental pollution, while increasing productivity and operational efficiency of the plants. Harmonization of the work of existing plants with the requirements of the IPPC directive and Serbian legislation and preparation of relevant action plans.
