NCPC China Visit

NCPC China delegation visited our Center 24-27 September 2024

Representatives from the National Center for Cleaner Production of China (NCCPC), which operates under the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (https://www.craes.cn/en/), visited our Center.

Founded on December 31, 1978, the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) is the country’s largest government-owned, non-profit research institution focused on ecology and environmental issues. Affiliated with China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), CRAES is dedicated to conducting foundational, comprehensive, and strategic research on ecological and environmental matters. It provides science-based solutions to national, regional, and international environmental challenges.

Currently, CRAES has 1,201 employees, including 5 academicians from the China Academy of Engineering and 43 national-level experts. Among its staff, 201 hold senior professional and technical titles, 340 hold deputy senior titles, and 547 possess doctoral degrees or higher.

On the first day of the visit, September 24, 2024, the NCCPC delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Petar Uskoković, the Dean of TMF, along with members of the Dean’s Collegium, Prof. Dr. Mirjana Kijevčanin (who will assume the role of Dean of TMF starting Tuesday, October 1, 2024) and Prof. Dr. Mirjana Kostić.

On September 25, 2024, representatives from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Prof. Dr. Nenad Radović and Dr. Branko Dunjić, accompanied the NCCPC delegation on a visit to HBIS Serbia in Smederevo. Following a tour of the plant, discussions were held regarding potential collaboration on bilateral projects.

On the final day of the visit, a conclusion was reached, and an agreement was made to continue the collaboration.
