Who we are
The Cleaner Production Centre of Serbia is part of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy (TMF) of the University of Belgrade. We were established with the aim of supporting the “green” transition of domestic industry with our knowledge and experience. Until 2023, we gave recommendations and advised over 200 companies in Serbia and helped them achieve great savings in the consumption of materials and energy, as well as the consumption of water and money. We have trained over 60 experts for the implementation of the concept of raw material efficiency and cleaner production (RECP).
The Cleaner Production Centre of Serbia was established as a part of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) project and operates within the UNIDO/UNEP network of Centers for Raw Material Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP Net). The official inauguration of the Center was held on October 11, 2007 during the Sixth Ministerial Conference “Environment for Europe” held in Belgrade.
