Project description:

Main features of the project: Support to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia and the Environmental Protection Agency of the Republic of Serbia in the implementation of Chapter V of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) related to pollution by operators using volatile organic compounds (VOC), in accordance with the implementation plan established within the EU accession process and negotiating chapter 27.

Activities carried out: revision of the national legislation, preparation of a functional IT system for reporting obligations and additional training required to increase the capacity of operators and inspectors to meet obligations under Chapter V of the IED.
